RESEARCH INTERESTS – EXPERTISE
My main areas of research interests and publications are in the fields of political economy of social policy, economic inequality, income distribution and redistribution, poverty and social exclusion, intergenerational consequences of inequality, distributional impact of government policies, macroeconomic environment and social protection, functional and personal distribution of income. A significant part of my published work focuses on the comparative analysis of economic inequality and poverty between Mediterranean and EU countries and between welfare regimes. I have participated in a large number of research projects in the above fields. My work has been published in books, research monographs, articles, book chapters and research reports, and has been presented in many conferences. Also short articles and interviews on issues related to inequality, poverty, social policy and economic crisis have been published in the Greek and foreign press. I have been an invited speaker on radio and TV programs
